Field Hockey Announces August Prospect Day
EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey field hockey team announced their August Prospect Day will take place on campus Sunday, August 26. The clinic will run from 8:30am to 2:30pm and is open to high school players in grades 9 through 12. TCNJ Lions' coaching staff and players will direct the event. The Prospect Day is designed to instruct players in fundamentals, small practice drills, advanced skills, tactical strategy and game play that are critical to the sport of field hockey as well as offer prospective student-athletes the opportunity to showcase their abilities in Lions Stadium, learn more about the field hockey program, spend additional time with the TCNJ players, and tour the campus. The fee is $125 for the Prospect Day using the pre-registration discount through August 15. The full registration price is $135, however space is limited so those interested are encouraged to sign up as early as possible. The College of New Jersey field hockey program has won 11 NCAA Division III National Championships. Most recently, they captured the national title in 2011 and 2014. In 2017, the Lions posted a record of 17-4 and advanced to the national semifinal game.
