Men's Water Polo Travels To Princeton To Take On The Tigers On Wednesday


Princeton, NJ – The Wagner men's water polo team (5-4 overall; 2-0 MAWPC) travels to Princeton, NJ on Wednesday night for a 7:00 p.m. matchup against the No. 13 Tigers. The Seahawks and Tigers have met once already this season on September 1 at the Navy Fall Invitational. In just their second match of the 2018 campaign, the Green & White fell to No. 13 Princeton 11-5. Wagner is coming off an undefeated weekend at the Bison Invitational, earning a 13-4 defeat over Fordham University on Saturday before defeating Navy (8-6) and La Salle (18-5) on Sunday. Last time out against Princeton (6-2 overall; 0-0 NEWPC), junior driver Oscar Nomura led the Seahawks' offense, scoring two goals as sophomore driver Jasmin Kolasinac, sophomore driver Jordi Alonso, and junior utility Lachlan Trabinger contributed one goal apiece. Despite the loss, senior goalie Cameron Woldt posted a strong defensive effort with eight saves. Matt Payne led Princeton offensively, posting a hat trick followed by Mitchell Cooper and Casey Conrad who both found the back of the net two times, respectively.
