Women’s Volleyball Celebrates Home Opener Tuesday Night vs. Franklin Pierce
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After playing its first 11 matches away from campus to begin the season, the Merrimack College women's volleyball program will begin its home slate on Tuesday evening when the Warriors welcome Franklin Pierce University to campus for a 7 p.m. Northeast-10 Conference tilt. The Warriors played their NE10 opener on Saturday afternoon at Stonehill College, dropping a three-set tilt to the Skyhawks
Junior Catherine Flaherty posted a team-best five kills on 21 attacks, and only committed with two errors for a .143 hitting percentage
Senior Amanda Cain continued to lead Merrimack's defensive efforts from the libero position, registering nine digs over three sets

With an average of 2.35 kills per set and 80 total kills, Flaherty continues to pace Merrimack's attack. Senior Sofia Basauri ranks second with 66 kills on a .202 hitting percentage, while freshman Sophie Meyers has notched a team-leading .274 hitting percentage
Junior setter Rosie Sperduto has totaled 226 assists for an average of 6.65 per frame to lead the unit. The Brentwood, Tenn. native's 102 digs also rank second on the squad
Cain's 118 digs and 3.47 average through 11 matches continues to be on pace for a career-best. The senior now boasts over 500 career digs during her Merrimack career
In the blocking department, Meyers holds a commanding team lead with 0.74 rejections per set, which ranks 11th in the NE10
