Lockdown Defense Lifts Monroe Mustangs Women’s Basketball to Victory at SUNY Sullivan

LOCH SHELDRAKE, N.Y., January 15, 2019 – The Monroe College Mustangs women's basketball teams turned in one of their best defensive performances of the season on Tuesday, lifting the Mustangs to a 56-33 victory at SUNY Sullivan. The Mustangs improve to 14-5 overall with the win, while the Generals fall to 9-7. Phyness Baldwin led the Mustangs with 13 points on the evening, adding a team-high six assists as well as six rebounds and four steals. Devon Adams netted nine points and pulled down a team-best eight boards. Shanice Graves matched Adams' eight rebounds while adding six points, three assists and three steals. India Keene registered four steals and six rebounds. Trayvell Jenkins was the third Mustangs with four takeaways in the win.
