No. 9 Monroe Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Sends Trio to Compete at Larry Ellis Invitational
PRINCETON, N.J., April 20, 2019 – The No. 9-ranked Monroe College men's outdoor track and field team sent three athletes to compete at the Larry Ellis Invitational, hosted by Princeton University, on Saturday. Keron Charles and Ka'Jon Parris both competed in the unseeded 800-meter run on Saturday, running in separate heats. Charles very narrowly edged out Parris with a time of 1:57.40, while Parris clocked in at 1:57.44. Parris' time was a season best. Phelani Maduwa closed things out for the Mustangs by competing in the elite section of the 800-meter run. He finished with a season-best time of 1:56.21 in the race. The Mustangs will compete next at the Penn Relays, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. The meet is set to take place from Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27.
