Jones Sets School And Facility Record In 400-Meters, Plympton Second In 200-Meters, Fabian Third In


GENESEO, N.Y. - Junior Marissa Jones (Sauquoit, N.Y. / Sauquoit Valley) of the Plattsburgh State women's track and field team not only broke the program record in the 400-meters but also set the facility record in the event at the Geneseo May Meet on Saturday. Jones won the 400 with a new personal best of 56.13 seconds, which breaks the school record of 56.64 that she set on April 20. Her time moves her up in the NCAA Division III rankings to the eighth spot. Junior Elisabeth Plympton (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown) finished second in the 200-meters with a time of 25.65 seconds and was third in the 400 with a personal best of 58.31. Senior Brian Fabian (East Northport, N.Y. / Northport) from the men's track and field team ran a season best 49.48 in the 400 to place third.
