Cam Gill Named Preseason All-American By Hero Sports

taten Island, NY - Linebacker Cam Gill, the 2018 Northeast Conference (NEC) and ECAC Defensive Player of the Year, has been named to the 2019 Hero Sports Preseason All-American Third Team, the organization announced on Thursday. The rising senior from Douglasville, GA is one of four student-athletes from the NEC, and the lone defensive player, to be named to the Hero Preseason team, joining Central Connecticut OL J'Von Brown (Second Team), Duquesne RB AJ Hines (First Team), and Robert Morris TE Matthew Gonzalez (Third Team). In addition to being the reigning NEC and ECAC Defensive Player of the Year, this latest honor for the 6-1, 230 Gill comes on the heels of a season that also saw him garner Third-Team All-American honors by the Associated Press.
