Baruch to Play UMass Boston in NCAA Tournament Opener on Friday


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 13, 2019) - The field for the 2019 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship has been announced, and Baruch College is set to take on University of Massachusetts Boston in a first-round game on Friday (May 17) at 12 noon at Monan Park in Boston, Mass. The Bearcats will be making their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament this weekend. The regional is a four-team, double elimination tournament running from Friday, May 17 to Sunday, May 19. The four-team pod also includes Wheaton College (Mass.) and St. Joseph's College (Maine). Tickets will be $5 each. Live stats and a webcast will be available for all games this weekend. "This is an exciting time and we are very excited to be playing in the NCAA Tournament," said Head Coach Jose Torres. "This competition has eluded us for a long time and we are proud in our first year to play and win the automatic qualifier. Now, it is time to start focusing on this weekend."
