FORMER MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE MOODY SIGNS PRO CONTRACT

Former American International College men's basketball player Juwan Moody recently signed a contract to play for Basquete Blumenau of the Liga Duro Gold League in Brazil. Basquete Blumenau will look to improve on their seventh-place finish in a nine-team league. "I just want to thank God for allowing me to continue my dreams and blessing me with the gift of basketball to be put on display at a professional level," Moody said. "Also Coach Andy [Burkholder] and American International College for giving me an opportunity to participate as a student-athlete from 2015 to 2017, and treating me with the utmost respect from Day One." "Juwan was a guy that was always in the gym working on his game, so his recent contract to play professionally in Brazil does not surprise me," said AIC head men's basketball coach Andy Burkholder. "I believe Juwan will be a very good pro, as he is a hard worker, a student of the game, and no maintenance off the court. We are very happy for Juwan and will be following his successes this year in Brazil." For more updates about the AIC men's basketball team, follow @AIC_MBB on Twitter and Instagram.
