Volleyball Schedule Announced for 2018

Montclair, NJ – A tough first weekend sets the tone for a challenging season as the Montclair State volleyball team released its 2018 schedule. The Red Hawks 27-match slate begins on Friday, August 31 in Bristol, CT at the Roger Williams Invitational. Montclair faces Trine University and host RWU on the first day with second-day contests against Alfred University and Augsburg University. Montclair is at the Panzer Athletic Center for the first time on September 5 against College of Mount St. Vincent and takes on Merchant Marine on September 8 before its first NJAC contest three days later. MSU faces defending champion Kean University in Union on September 11. The Cougars ended Montclair's 2017 campaign in the conference tournament semifinals last November. The Red Hawks host a tri-match with Lycoming and FDU-Florham on September 15 before a run of three straight league contests against New Jersey City (home), Rutgers-Camden (away) and Rowan (home) on September 18, 20 and 25threspectively. Montclair's non-conference schedule also includes dates with Keystone College (September 27), Baruch and St. Joseph's (LI) (September 29) and Manhattanville (October 5). Stockton University being another three-match NJAC run on October 9 and the Red Hawks host New York University at home on October 18. Hunter College is the final regular-season game at Panzer on October 23 before the schedule ends with a trip to Rochester for the New York Regional Challenge. Montclair faces Cortland and RIT on October 26 with Nazareth and Rochester set for Saturday, October 27.
