Wagner cross country announces 2018 schedule

Staten Island, NY -Wagner head men's and women's cross country coach Joe Stasi has announced the 2018 schedules, with each team set to compete in six regular season meets leading up to the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship on October 27 in Smithfield, RI. The Green & White open their season at the Monmouth University Kickoff Classic on Saturday, September 1. A week later, both teams will compete in the Shawn Nassaney Invitational, hosted by Bryant University on September 8. Following a week off, the Seahawks are back on the course as they will run at the Henry Mercer Monmouth Invitational on September 22. The Wagner harriers then make the short trip to Newark, NJ as they will race in the 15th Annual Highlander XC Challenge on October 6 before traveling up the New York State Thruway to compete at the University at Albany Invitational on October 13. The final regular season meet is scheduled for October 19 when the Seahawks head to Colts Neck, NJ for the Monmouth University Tune-Up. Wagner then heads back to Bryant's Smithfield, RI campus for the NEC Championship (October 27) before NCAA Northeast Regionals commence on November 9 in Buffalo, NY. The following Saturday, November 17, the team will head to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx for the IC4A/ECAC Championship while those who qualify will head to Madison, WI for the NCAA Championship
