CONNOR AND FILLIER NAMED TO HOCKEY CANADA NATIONAL TEAM

A week after both Hockey Canada and USA Hockey held national festivals and showcases for the selection of its U18 and U22 national teams, two Tigers have come away with the opportunity to represent their country. Incoming freshmen Maggie Connors and Sarah Fillier will both wear the red maple leaf at the 2018-19 National Women's Development Team Series against the USA later this month. Rising junior Carly Bullock was one of 75 players invited by USA Hockey for the 2018 USA Hockey Women's National Festival at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid. "We are so proud of all our current and future Tigers who competed for spots on both the Canadian and USA Development teams, as well as the U18 teams," Princeton head coach Cara Morey said. "Carly Bullock had an amazing showing at USA camp where she often led her team in shots and also scored in nearly every game," Morey said. "She has shown tremendous progress in her defensive game and obviously has the ability to produce on the scoreboard. She is on a great path!" "Both Sarah Fillier and Maggie Connors will represent Canada in the Development series vs the USA this week. They have both shown tremendous skill and maturity at such young ages. We are so excited to have them represent Princeton in this event and even more excited to get them on Hobey Baker Rink with our current Tigers. The future of our program looks promising and we can't wait to get started with the 2018-19 season." The three-game series will take place August 16-19 at the Markin MacPhail Centre in Calgary. Tickets to the National Women's Development Team Canada-USA series are available online now and start at $10, with 'special experience' packages available to minor hockey players. The Princeton women's hockey season begins on Oct. 19 with a two-game set at Wisconsin.
