ASA Avengers Women's Soccer Ranked #3 in the NJCAA's Preseason Ranking

Brooklyn, NY – The ASA Avengers kick off the 2018 women's soccer season as the #3 ranked team in the NJCAA. The NJCAA preseason ranking is conducted by a 17-member committee from representatives selected by the NJCAA. The Avengers improve their preseason ranking from 2017 where they were ranked #15 to start the preseason. The women's soccer team look to follow up last year's impressive season where they were named they defeated the #1 and #3 ranked teams en-route to becoming the runner-up in the NJCAA National Championships.

"We have eight incoming freshmen this year," Women's Soccer Head Coach Jon Panella said. "However we're optimistic about this coming season because of our solid returning players that took part in our championship run last season."

This year, they will start off their first game of the 2018 women's soccer season on the road against the Rowan College at Burlington County Barons at September 4th 1 pm. The only home game of the season will be against the #16 ranked Monroe College on September 28th 10 am.
