Coach Calabrese has been promoted to ASA Avengers Head Football Coach
Defensive Backs Coach/JV Head Football Coach/Director of Residence Life Chris Calabrese has been promoted to ASA College's new football Head Coach. Calabrese will take the place of last season's head coach Joe Osovet.

"Coach Cal has an unparalleled work ethic and commitment to the ASA College Avengers Football program."
As a member of the football coaching staff for five years, Coach Cal has been instrumental in leading the ASA Avengers to post season success cultivating in the Avengers winning the Valley of the Sun Bowl against Mesa Community College and going 9-1 in the NJCAA 2017 football season. Calabrese has helped the Avengers achieve success off the field too with the team sending 55 students from 2017's football roster to 4 year schools.
Coach Calabrese's football background is extensive, as he has held duties at East Coast Prep as an Assistant Coach and Director of Academic Development, Valley Forge Military Academy as the Assistant Head Coach and Director of Athletic Admissions, MaxOut Training Center and Athletes' Performance as a Performance Specialist and completed an internship as a Performance Specialist working at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Prior to his coaching and mentoring duties, Calabrese was a standout Student-Athlete. He first attended Valley Forge Military Academy where he was a varsity letterman in Football, Baseball, Wrestling & Golf. Receiving distinguished military rank during his entire time at VFMA, his strong leadership qualities led to the promotion of Battalion Training Officer and Lieutenant for the Class of 2005. Following his time at VFMA, he became a four-year varsity letterman for the Menlo (CA) College Football and Golf teams. He graduated from Menlo College in 2009 with degrees in Sports Management and Finance.
Coach Calabrese currently resides in Long Island City with his wife Daniella.
