Portland took control early in set two opening with 9-3 start as LIU struggled to find its footing. The Blackbirds were unable to break through at the net as the Pilots recorded six blocks in the second set to push ahead with a 25-11 set win. The third set featured an early 4-1 run by the Pilots before the Blackbirds recorded kills by juniors Kora Schaberl and Filippa Hansson and a bad set to get within one point at 5-4. Hansson, junior Jovana Stekovic and freshman Myrthe Maring each added five kills. Junior Amanda Hubbard dished out 20 assists while classmate Natalia Rivera finished with 11 digs.
