Raiders Continue to Rise in National Poll

HAMILTON – On the heels of its first 3-0-0 start since 1973, the Colgate men's soccer team has vaulted up to No. 13 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll released Tuesday. It has only taken two weeks for Colgate to jump 12 spots after being tabbed 25th in the preseason poll. The Raiders have 291 total points in the poll and sit just outside of the top 10 behind Virginia, Fordham, and Notre Dame. The Raiders have allowed just one goal on the season with a pair of shutout victories over Pitt (1-0) and Hofstra (2-0) around a thrilling 2-1 overtime triumph over UAlbany in their home opener at Beyer-Small '76 Field on Aug. 27. The No. 13 Raiders are back in action Friday night for a top 25 showdown at No. 6 Denver with kickoff slated for 9 p.m. Eastern (7 p.m. Mountain).
