Football in the NCAA Rankings


MADISON, N.J. (September 19, 2018) - The FDU-Florham football team has made its mark thus far on the conference and national rankings, as the new rankings came out earlier this week. NATIONAL RANKINGS

  • Senior Jagger Green is seventh nationally with 29.67 completions, trailing the leader by just seven completions. The senior is also fourth in the country with 12 passing scores, just three off of the top spot. Both numbers are tops in the Middle Atlantic Conference.

  • With his four interceptions, senior Ryan Wilson in seventh nationally.

  • Senior Mike Panzarino is second in the country with seven receiving scores, just one behind national-leader Andrew Wolf of Washington & Jefferson. Panzarino also is in the top-five in receiving yards (458), and receptions per game (11.7) and is sixth in both total touchdowns (6) and total points scored (48).

  • The Devils are one of 20 teams with a perfect fourth down conversion rate, going 3-for-3 thus far.

  • The defense has notched eight interceptions this season, just three behind Rensselaer for the national lead.

  • Their 11 combined turnovers trail RPI by just two for the top spot in the country.

CONFERENCE RANKINGS

  • The team, led by Green, leads the Middle Atlantic Conference with a .636 completion percentage through three game.

  • The passing offense is averaging 304.0 yards per game which leads the conference.

  • The defense, led by four interceptions from Wilson, is tops in the MAC with eight picks.

  • Trailing Albright and King's by one, the Devils are third in the MAC with three fumbles recovered.

  • The rushing defense has been a force to reckoned with, as they are holding opponents to just 91.0 yards per game.

  • The pass rush has also been effective, leading the MAC with 3.33 sacks per game.

  • As a whole, the Devils defense has notched 11 takeaways, five more than the next closest team in the conference.

  • Green is tops in the MAC in several different categories, including completion percentage (64.0), completions per game (29.67), passing yards (899), passing TD's (12) and points responsible for (72)

  • Wilson has notched a pair of two-interception games and leads the MAC with four. Additionally, the senior is tied for conference lead with 1.7 passes broken up per contest.

  • Panzarino also has seen himself littered among the conference best, leading the MAC in receiving TD's (7), receiving yards (458), receptions per game (11.7), total points scored (48) and total touchdowns (6).

  • Senior Robert Planter's 1.33 sacks per game and classmate Isaiah Turner's 9.7 tackles per game are also leaders in their respective categories.
