No. 7 Women's Soccer Defeats FDU-Florham Behind Late Goal From Pestritto

EWING, N.J. – The 7th ranked College of New Jersey women's soccer team defeated Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham on Wednesday night by a final score of 1-0. The Lions pushed their record to 4-1 while the Devils fell to 6-1-1. In the first half neither team was able to crack the scoreboard. The Lions had their fair share of chances, as they outshot the Devils 11-1 in the opening stanza. Jess Hall had a look with just over two minutes to play but the Devils' keeper came up with the save. The second period the Lions continued to rattle off shots on the Devils defense. The Lions defensive back line of Jen McGrogan, Ally DeRiggi, and Faith Eichenour kept the attack at bay, as the Devils only tallied one shot on the game.
