Men's Water Polo Ranked No. 18 In CWPA Poll
Staten Island, NY – The Wagner men's water polo team was tabbed No. 18 in the 2018 Men's Varsity Week 4/September 26 Poll by the Collegiate Water Polo Association on Wednesday afternoon. This is the highest ranking the Seahawks have garnered since the 2018 Preseason Poll, in which they were listed at No. 20. The Green & White, in just their third year of existence, earned a spot in the CWPA Top 20 after defeating defending Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Champion George Washington University on Saturday with a final score of 14-11 in their first home contest of the 2018 campaign. Wagner, now 6-5 overall and 3-0 in league play, sits above GW (No. 20) in the polls, as Bucknell is the only other MAWPC foe ranked above the Seahawks, establishing itself at No. 15. The Green & White have a 14 day rift in match play, before competing against Bucknell and La Salle on October 6-7.
