Playing in their first match since their run to the final of the ITA Northeast Regionals, the Brewers' No. 1 tandem of Frances Cornwall (Poway, CA) and Tara Edwards (Littleton, CO) notched an 8-5 triumph over Tal Pezzuco and Paige Webster. Sarra Yekta (Las Vegas, NV) and Morgane Flournoy (Grosse Pointe, MI) then completed the doubles sweep with their 9-8 victory over Megan Brown and Samantha Siegel in the No. 2 position. In singles play, Cornwall earned a 6-0, 6-2 win over Pezzuco in the No. 1 position, and Yekta clinched the match with her 6-1, 6-2 victory over Webster in the No. 3 spot. Stavropoulos, meanwhile, notched a 6-2, 6-1 triumph over Siegel at No. 4 singles. In the No. 2 position, Edwards topped Brown by a 6-2, 7-6 count. Flournoy needed three sets before toppling Cathy Xing, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 5 singles. After dropping the second set, Fair, Vassar's No. 6, rallied to beat Alex Greenberg 6-0, 6-7, 10-2.
