Volleyball Dominates Hostos and Bronx
Volleyball Dominates Hostos and Bronx (Selden, NY) On Saturday, Women's Volleyball traveled to Selden, New York for a two games series against Hostos Community College and Bronx Community College. The first game was against Hostos. The Lions dominated from the beginning winning the first set 25-8. The Lions shut down the Caiman by winning the 2nd and 3rd sets 25-3, 25-8, respectively. Dominant players of the game were Destiny Knox who tallied 9 kills, 3 aces, and 5 digs. Jamie Demmett completed 6 kills and 22 assists. Bronx Community College was up next. The Broncos were a bit more competitive, but they were no match for NCC. The Lions swept them in 3 games finishing 25-16, 25-15, and 25-18. Katie Abramo had a total of 9 kills and 3 blocks, while teammate Emily Kaufmann had 6 kills, 4 aces, and 5 digs. The teams overall record is now 14-10, and 5-2 within the conference.
