Football Hits the Road To Take on Misericordia
MADISON, N.J. (October 19, 2018) - The FDU-Florham football team is preparing for a road contest against Misericordia on Saturday afternoon. GAME INFO Kickoff between the Devils and Cougars is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Mangelsdorf Field in Dallas, Pa. RECORDS The Devils are currently 4-2 overall on the season, including a 2-2 mark within the Middle Atlantic Conference. Misericordia enters with a 5-1 record, and a perfect 4-0 in the conference. LAST TIME OUT FDU was topped by Wilkes 31-16 last Friday night. Senior Jagger Green threw for 169 yards and a score, while classmate Isaiah Turner recorded a team-high 15 tackles. MISERICORDIA REPORT Quarterback Brady Williams has set a school-record with 1,486 passing this season and has thrown for 10 touchdowns against one interception. Williams also has recorded 429 rushing yards and 11 scores. Nick Yeager anchors the defense, leading the team with 52 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. CACERES CAN CATCH Junior defensive linemen Jose Caceres lived every linemen's dream last week. Lining up in the Devils jumbo package, Caceres caught a five-yard touchdown pass from senior Mike Panzarino. DEVILS IN THE NCAA RANKINGS Panzarino holds onto the top spot nationally with 10.5 receptions per game, while Turner is sixth with 12.7 tackles per game. Additionally Green holds the fourth spot with 28.8 completions per game. SACK TIME Freshman DeAndre Carter recorded his first career sack Friday night, coming off the edge on blitz to force the Colonels into a punt. HURRY UP The Devils defense had 10 quarterback hurries on Friday. Senior Robert Planter recorded five, while freshman Diony Dilone added four. CAN'T MAKE IT?
