Stonehill Men's and Women's Cross Country Chosen to Repeat as NE10 Champions

MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the second-straight year, both the Stonehill men's and women's programs have been tabbed to claim titles at this weekend's Northeast 10 Conference Cross Country Championships. The 38th annual NE10 Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships will take place this Sunday, November 4 and will be hosted by Franklin Pierce University at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H.

The men's race will begin at 11 a.m. with the women's to follow at approximately 12:15 p.m.

For complete results of the polls, which are voted upon by the league's head coaches, please see below.

Stonehill took the top spot in the Men's Coaches' Poll with 188 points and eight of the 15 first-place votes. The Skyhawks won the 2018 NE10 Championship, as part of a dual title with the women's program. American International was close behind with 182 points, including four first-place votes, while Southern Connecticut State was the only other team to receive first-place tallies and ended up with 166 points.

The Stonehill women's program has won a dominant nine-straight NE10 Championships, as it looks to go for number 10 after an overwhelming reception of support from the league's head coaches - recording all eligible 14 first-place votes (teams cannot vote for themselves). The Skyhawks will look for their 17th conference title in team history. Merrimack (182 points and one first-place vote) and Southern New Hampshire (157 points) rounded-out the top three.
