Brockport Football - NCAA First Round

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The post season is upon us and our The No. 3 College at Brockport football team is back in the big dance. The Golden Eagles have been awarded the No. 1 seed in the east region of the 2018 NCAA Football Championship, and will host the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference champions, Framingham State. DATE – TIME: November 17, 2018 – 12 p.m. LOCATION: Bob Boozer Field –Brockport, N.Y. LINKS: Video | Stats | Game Notes The last time the Golden Eagles took the field was against Morrisville State, where the Golden Eagles grabbed a win in convincing fashion by a score of 49-7 to close out the 2018 regular season undefeated at 10-0. Quarterback Joe Germinerio, who accounted for six total touchdowns, four through the air and two on the ground led the charge. Germinerio's receivers came to play as well, led by Eamon Gillespie who tallied eight catches for 91-yards and a score and DaQuan Hubbard, who contributed 70-yards receiving with two touchdowns. The stout Brockport defense dominated as usual, led by Ben Marshall and Tim Terry who tallied eight and seven tackles, respectively. The Golden Eagles also sacked the quarterback five times, led by Matt Szymanski with two sacks. Terry McDonald, Austin Dean, and Tim Terry also joined the party each recording a sack for themselves. Framingham State, who currently holds a record of 8-2, will be looking to slow the Brockport train down in the east region matchup. This will be the first ever meeting between the two teams. Tickets for the event will be $8 for adults, $5 for students with ID and $4 dollars for children. Tickets will be available online through Brockport ticket sales, and at the gate.
