Women's Hockey to Host Annual United Way and Winterfest Games
ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 7/7 Cornell women's hockey team hosts No. 8/9 St. Lawrence at 6 p.m. Friday at Lynah Rink as part of its annual United Way Game. For every fan in attendance, a dollar will be donated to the United Way of Tompkins County. The United Way of Tompkins County's mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of its communities. The game is part of a university-wide fundraiser for United Way of Tompkins County. Each year Cornell faculty, staff and students contribute roughly 40 percent of the countywide funds raised for the organization. Thus far Cornell has raised $292,322 this year. Its goal is to reach $750,000.
