Erin McArdle Tabbed to D3hockey.com National Women's Team of the Week

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Sophomore defenseman Erin McArdle (Macomb, Mich./Belle Tire) of the Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team has been named to the D3hockey.com National Women's Team of the Week for the period ending Nov. 25, 2018, as announced Wednesday by D3hockey.com. McArdle also was named the Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) Player of the Week for the same period. This marks McArdle's first-ever D3hockey.com Team of the Week honor. McArdle was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Panther/Cardinal Classic hosted by Middlebury College over the weekend, helping the Cardinals to a 1-1-0 showing at the tournament. After putting four shots on goal in a 1-0 loss to No. 5/6 Adrian College on Saturday, she scored two power-play goals in a 4-1 consolation game victory over No. 1/1 Elmira College on Sunday in a rematch of last year's NCAA Division III Tournament semifinals. For the season, she has four points on two goals and two assists. Plattsburgh State (6-1-0, 4-0-0 NEWHL) returns to NEWHL play on Friday, Nov. 30, when it visits Oswego State for a 3 p.m. contest.
