Dutchmen and Bears skate to 3-3 tie

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Despite holding a 2-0 lead, the Union College men's hockey team was unable to come away with a win as the Brown Bears forced a 3-3 tie with the Dutchmen on Friday night at Meehan Auditorium. The Dutchmen remain .500 in conference play with the tie, as they now hold an 3-3-2 record in conference play and an 8-3-3 overall record. The Bears now move to 1-4-3 (1-6-3 ECACH) on the season. Union scored twice in the first period, but Brown came back with a strong second period to score two goals in the first 11 minutes to tie the game up at 2-2. Parker Foo scored his third of the season to put Union back on top with less than five minutes to play in the second, but Brown responded for a third goal with just 50 seconds remaining in the period.
