Women's Ice Hockey Retains No. 2 Ranking in, Polls

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team held on to its No. 2 ranking in both the Division III Women's Top-10 Poll and the Women's Top-10 Poll, as announced Monday by both organizations. The Cardinals received 137 points and two first-place votes in the poll and 138 points and four first-place votes in the poll. Plattsburgh State won a pair of non-conference games this past week, defeating Morrisville State College, 7-1, on Wednesday at home before topping Trinity (Conn.) College, 5-0, Friday on the road in its final game of the calendar year. The Cardinals (10-1-0, 6-0-0 NEWHL) next face Adrian College on Sunday, Jan. 6, at 5 p.m. to open up Norwich University's East-West Hockey Classic.
