Hofstra Bests Manhattan


Riverdale, NY - Hofstra won its fifth-straight game by an 80-50 count over Manhattan at Draddy Gymnasium. Sophomore Ebube Ebube (San Juan, Puerto Rico / Lawrenceville Academy (NJ)) scored a career-high 10 points while freshman Warren Williams (Kingston Jamaica / St. Benedict's Prep (NJ)) also had 10 with a team-high seven rebounds to lead the way on offense for the Jaspers. Tareq Coburn led all players with 22 points and 10 rebounds pace four double-figure scorers for the Pride, which shot 56.3 percent (27-of-48) from the floor, including 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from deep. Manhattan falls to 2-7 while Hofstra improves to 8-3. Notes * The Jaspers recorded a season-high 14 assists. * Manhattan's reserves outscored the starters for the fourth time this season. * Junior Tyler Reynolds (Syracuse, NY / Harcum College) had nine points, four rebounds, three assists and a block.
