REGGIE WHITE JR. NAMED AP ALL-AMERICAN


Monmouth University fifth-year senior wide receiver Reggie White Jr. (Randallstown, MD/Milford Mill Academy) has earned Third Team All-America honors from the Associated Press.

White Jr. becomes the sixth Hawk and the first wide receiver to earn All-American status from the Associated Press. White Jr. set a Monmouth record with 1,133 receiving yards while scoring 11 touchdowns. He earned his third consecutive First Team All-Big South honor this season, eclipsing the 100-yard plateau four times. White Jr. saved his finest effort for his last collegiate game, catching 10 passes for 220 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Gardner-Webb

The Randallstown, MD product finishes as the Monmouth and the league's all-time leader in receptions (249) and reception yardage (3,471). He closed out his career catching a pass in 44 out of 45 career games while starting every Monmouth contest over the past four seasons.

He was also a finalist for the Walter Payton Award, signifying FCS' top offensive player, finishing 22nd in the voting.
