Johnson Ties Program Record in Conference Road Win Over Binghamton


VESTAL, N.Y. – The Stony Brook women's basketball team earned its second-straight conference win of the season, taking down Binghamton, 65-56, at the Events Center. Freshman G Shania Johnson (Frederick, Md.) hit seven threes on the evening to tie the program record for made three-point field goals in a single game. Both she and sophomore F India Pagan (New London, Conn.) did the offensive heavy lifting for the team, combining for 45 points. McCOMBS REACTION "I thought our team played really hard tonight. We made a great run in the second quarter and with Binghamton playing on their home court, we knew they were going to come back. Shorty (Johnson) and India (Pagan) stepped up big time and made huge baskets down the stretch. Overall, I thought we fought hard on Binghamton's home court." H
