WONG TO PLAY WITH CANADIAN NATIONAL TEAM IN CHINA

PRINCETON, N.J. - Elise Wong is currently on tour with the Canadian National Team as the squad travels in China. Wong will earn her first international caps as Canada will take on China in six test matches. Wong was recently named a Honda Sport Athlete, becoming the ninth Tiger in program history to be nominated as a finalist and the first since Katie Reinprecht won award in 2012. The 2018 first team All-American was part of a defensive unit that finished with the eighth lowest goals against average (1.17) in the country. The Tigers had six shutouts, five of which came in Ivy action. Princeton did not allow a goal for over 180 minutes of game time (Sept. 22-30) and just one in a four-game stretch (Sept. 22-Oct. 5). The Tigers did not give up a shot against Brown (Oct. 13) and allowed one attempt against Cornell (Oct. 27). Wong will graduate as the 2018 Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, a four-time All-Region and All-Ivy player while securing two NCAA Final Four All-Tournament awards.
