Track and Field Nabs Back-To-Back Relay Of the Week Awards
Mansfield, Mass.- For its second week in a row, the Adelphi University track and field women's relay squad garnered the Northeast-10 Relay Team of the Week after another weekend at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
At the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday, led by rookie Gabrielle Bussiereth, the quartet including Aleisha Jeffers, Gabrielle Griffin and Victoria Major won the women's 4x400 relay for the second week in a row. The group's time of 3:54.08 leads the Northeast-10, and sits at No. 14 in the country.
Among several other personal records set over the weekend, Felipe Custodio topped an Adelphi school record in the 300m, clocking in at 34.37. The time broke previous school record holder James Roberts' time of 38.2.
The Brown and Gold will return to action on Friday at the John Terrier Invite hosted by Boston University.
