Women's Ice Hockey Ranks No. 2 in D3hockey.com Poll, No. 3 in USCHO.com Poll

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team is ranked at No. 2 in both the D3hockey.com Women's Top-10 Poll and No. 3 in the USCHO.com Division III Women's Top-10 Poll, as announced Monday by both organizations. The Cardinals received 132 points and two first-place votes in the D3hockey.com poll and 125 votes in the USCHO.com poll. Plattsburgh State remained perfect in the Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) over the weekend, sweeping SUNY Cortland in a pair of road games. The Cardinals prevailed, 11-1, on Friday before pinning a 6-1 setback on the Red Dragons on Saturday. The Cardinals (15-2-0, 10-0-0 NEWHL) next host Oswego State on Friday, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m. to open up a weekend NEWHL series.
