Women's Ice Hockey Remains No. 2 in D3hockey.com Poll, No. 3 in USCHO.com Poll


PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team held on to its No. 2 ranking in the D3hockey.com Women's Top-10 Poll and its No. 3 ranking in the USCHO.com Division III Women's Top-10 Poll, as announced Monday by both organizations. The Cardinals received 135 points and three first-place votes in the D3hockey.com poll and 124 points and two first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll. The Cardinals extended their win streak to nine games over the weekend, sweeping SUNY Potsdam. Plattsburgh State won, 7-0, Friday on the road before topping the Bears, 4-0, Saturday on Senior Day at home. Plattsburgh State (20-2-0, 14-0-0 NEWHL) wraps up Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) play this weekend at Buffalo State. The Cardinals open up the two-game series on Friday, Feb. 15, at 4 p.m.
