Strong Starts Help Seawolves to Saturday Sweep of Maine

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook baseball team has now won five consecutive America East contests after a sweep of Maine on Saturday, defeating the Black Bears 8-3 and 5-3 in the two games at Joe Nathan Field to open up a three-game set. Both starters, redshirt-junior Greg Marino (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and junior Brian Herrmann (Northport, N.Y.) pitched seven strong innings to put the Seawolves in position to win after early offense put the hosts ahead in both contests.
