Alexandris, Melillo Post Victories at TCNJ Invitational

wing, NJ – Seniors GEORGE ALEXANDRIS and ROB MELILLO each recorded first-place finishes highlighting Montclair State's appearance at the TCNJ Invitational on Saturday. Alexandris posted a pair of wins as he captured the long jump and the 200 meters. The defending NCAA Division III champion in the long jump, Alexandris leaped 7.56 meters which currently ranks No. 1 in the nation through the first three weeks of the outdoor season. Alexandris would top the field in the 200 meters running 21.76 seconds and was third in the 100 meters at 10.89 seconds. Melillo, an NCAA Championship qualifier the last two years, threw 55.63 meters for his victory in the javelin.
