Women's rowing moves up to ninth in national coaches poll

The Hamilton College Continentals moved up three spots to No. 9 in this week's USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division III Top 15 women's poll released on Wednesday, April 10. CRCA Division III Poll 041019 Hamilton's varsity 8 was ranked 12th last week but held their own over the weekend in a competitive field on Lake Quinsigamond in central Massachusetts. The Continentals were one of four ranked boats in a race on April 6 and the next day finished just behind then-No. 3 Worcester Polytechnic Institute but well ahead of then-No. 13 Washington (Md.) College in the grand final. Hamilton hosts three schools with ranked varsity 8 boats on the Erie Canal in Rome on Saturday, April 13. Fifth-ranked Smith College, No. 8 William Smith College and No. 11 Rochester Institute of Technology will visit the Continentals as racing starts at 11 a.m.
