Baruch Going Dancing; Will Play New Paltz in NCAA Tournament

NDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Apr. 15, 2019) - After winning its first conference title since 2015, Baruch College was selected Monday as one of just 14 teams to play in the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship. The Bearcats will play No. 9 SUNY New Paltz in a first-round tilt on Friday (Apr. 19) at 4 p.m. at weekend pod host Endicott College in Beverly, Mass. They will look to avenge a 3-0 road loss to the Hawks on Feb. 28. Baruch, which is making its fifth all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament, earned the CUNYAC's automatic berth to the championship with a thrilling 3-2 victory over arch-rival Hunter in Friday's conference final. "We are very proud to be representing Baruch College and the CUNY Athletic Conference at NCAA's," said Head Coach Kevin Edwards. "We will be practicing hard this week to get ready against an opponent we have played and know about." The winner of the match will face either Endicott or Skyline Conference champion St. Joseph's College (L.I.) in a national quarterfinal Saturday (Apr. 20) at 6 p.m. The Bearcats are in search of their first Final Four appearance since 2013, when it lost to eventual national champion Springfield College in five sets in Rochester, N.Y. *
