Vassar Continues Season At All-American Invitational
AST STROUDSBURG, PA – The Vassar women's track and field team continued their season this Saturday at the All-American Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University on Saturday. In the 3,000-meter race, Elise Matera placed second with a time of 11:03.38 and in the 3,000-meter steeplechase Elsa Erling tabbed a third-place finish at 12:13.06. Sarah Gilloolyfound her stride in the 1,500, earning second with a season-best time of 4:54.17. Senior Cristiana Prater-Lee crossed the line at 5:04.15 for eighth place. The Brewers had a few runners compete in the sprint events as well. Micelle Perri had a solid 13.02 in the 100-meter dash to place eighth, while Sophie Sharp ran a 13.80. Perri also competed in the 200, running a 27.62. Sarah Newman finished with a time of 2:27.09 in the 800. Erin Clark was 2:31.52. Vassar is back in action next weekend for Penn Relays and the Lions Invitational at TCNJ.
