Savion Gallion Signs National Letter Of Intent

BUFFALO, NY – Head coach Jim Whitesell has announced the addition of Savion Gallion, who has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Buffalo men's basketball program.

Gallion is a 6-4 guard from Washington, DC who played last season at Mt. Zion Prep where he averaged 13.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game.

Prior to his one year of prep school, Gallion played basketball and competed in track and field at Thurgood Marshall High School, where he was a Washington Post All-Met team honorable mention selection on the hardwood. As a senior, Gallion averaged 22.0 points per game, while averaging 6.0 boards per contest, and pair of assists per game.

"

We really like the versatility and competitiveness that Savion has shown and he gives us the ability to play him at a couple different positions," said Whitesell. "He was attracted to us because of the success we have had in developing our perimeter players. He really impressed our staff with his play and his attitude this past month."

Gallion is the third player to sign a National Letter of Intent, joining David Skogman and David Nickelberry.
