Kingsville, Tex. - She's six for six. Adelphi University junior Victoria Major is among the national qualifiers for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, announced in full on Tuesday. Major extends her run of appearances at the national meet in her signature event, the high jump, having been selected to the field during both the indoor and outdoor seasons in her time at Adelphi thus far. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching the automatic and provisional standards established for each event. A total of 754 participants, 377 men and 377 women, will compete in the championships as teams or individuals. Major's season-best mark in the high jump is 1.72m, which ranked her tied for second in the Northeast-10 Conference and 13th in all of Division II.

The meet is scheduled to begin next Thursday, May 23, at Javelina Stadium in Kingsville, Texas. This will be the first time since 2009 that NCAA DII Outdoor Championships will be held in the Lone Star State
