11 Monroe Outdoor Track and Field Athletes Earn All-American Awards at NJCAA Outdoor Championships

HOBBS, N.M., June 12, 2019 – 11 different student-athletes from the Monroe College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams earned All-American honors in at least one event after both teams had another pair of successful outings at the 2019 NJCAA Div. I Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The women's team combined for three more national championships at the NJCAA Outdoor Championships to go with the five the Mustang men and women garnered at the NJCAA Indoor Championships back in March. The women's team took home the national championship in the 4x800 relay, 800-meter run and 1,500-meter run. All-American awards were announced separately by the NJCAA and the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The NJCAA announced First- and Second-Team recipients, as well as Honorable Mentions, determined by first-, second- and third-place finishes at the NJCAA Outdoor Championships.
