WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Center Erica Balman, who completed a four-year career with the Monmouth University women's basketball team in 2019, has signed a professional contract with Brose Bamberg in Germany. The team competes in 2. Bundesliga. In 109 career games played at Monmouth, Balman registered 3.0 points per game and 4.0 rebounds per game. Her best season came as a junior, when she averaged 4.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest. In four years, Balman started 35 games while averaging 12.3 minutes. As a junior, Balman led the MAAC in blocks with 61, and ended her career ranked fifth on Monmouth's all-time list with 127. The Marcellus, NY native scored in double-figures seven times in her career, including six as a junior. During her final season, she pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds to go along with a career-high five blocks at Lafayette. Balman scored a career-high 14 points (7-8 FG) at Niagara as a senior.
