Anthony Van Curen Named Defensive Coordinator
MADISON, N.J. (July 3, 2019) – Head Coach Brian Surace of the FDU-Florham football team has named Anthony Van Curen as the new Defensive Coordinator. "We are very excited to have Anthony back at FDU as our Defensive Coordinator," explained Surace. "He did a tremendous job as our Defensive Line coach in 2014 and 2015 and then went on to Rutgers the last three seasons and each year got more responsibilities put on his plate to make him ready for this job. Having made many positive relationships his first time around at FDU, we are looking forward to how Anthony can raise the bar this time around." Van Curen spent the last three seasons with Rutgers University, including the previous two as a Defensive Assistant. He worked closely with the inside and outside linebackers. In his first season at RU in 2016, Van Curen assisted in player development. This marks Van Curen's second stint with the Devils, as he was the Defensive Line Coach with the team from 2014-16.
