MONMOUTH NAMES BILL BRITTON HEAD MEN’S GOLF COACH


WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Former PGA Tour golfer and PGA professional Bill Britton has been named as the Head Men's Golf Coach at Monmouth University, Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Marilyn McNeil announced Tuesday. "Monmouth is privileged to have the expertise and experience of PGA professional Bill Britton join our department," said McNeil. "Our student-athletes will certainly benefit from his wisdom and knowledge of the game and we will all enjoy the quiet leadership of this gentleman." Britton comes to Monmouth after spending the last 10 years as the Director of Instruction at Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck, and previously spent 15 years playing on the PGA Tour between 1980-1996. "I'm thrilled to be the Head Men's Golf coach here at Monmouth University," said Britton. "I'm really looking forward to getting to know the players and working with them. I'm excited for the opportunity and to build upon what Dennis Sheahas done here."
