Nick Drago Named Head Men’s Golf Coach
Staten Island – Wagner College athletic director Walt Hameline has announced the hiring of Nick Drago as the Seahawks' new head men's golf coach. The Plymouth, MA native arrives on Grymes Hill after serving as an Assistant Golf Professional at Winchester Country Club in Winchester, MA, which was preceded by a stint as an assistant pro at Indian Creek Country Club in Miami Beach, FL. Drago is a 2018 graduate of Johnson & Wales University, North Miami where he received a BS in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management, as well as a minor in Professional Golf Management. While at Johnson & Wales, Drago was a member of the men's golf program and during the spring of 2018, also served as a Golf Coach Intern, assisting with coaching, practices, scheduling, and running events. "I am very excited to take over as men's golf coach at Wagner. The program has been heading in a great direction the past few years and I have a great vision on how I'd like to expand it," said Drago. "We have some very exciting young new players coming in this year, along with some key players returning which makes is a very solid from top to bottom. The sky is the limit this season and I'm excited to get going this fall!"
