Football Opens Preseason Camp This Weekend

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College football program returns to campus this weekend, uniting the 2019 edition of the Warriors for their first preseason camp as a Division I program. Merrimack's football squad begins its first season as members of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) this fall in addition to being the newest member of the Northeast Conference (NEC). Merrimack will play four NEC opponents this fall as it begins its four-year reclassification period into FCS. The Warriors were introduced to the NEC during its 2019 Social Media Day earlier this summer at MetLife Stadium, where seventh-year head coach Dan Curran along with redshirt seniors Erick Browne and Marquis Spence represented the program at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
