DAVID ROBINSON NAMED HEAD CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK & FIELD HEAD COACH


Valhalla, NY) - Westchester Community College Director of Athletics Michael Belfiore has announced the hiring of David Robinson as the college's next Head Coach for Cross Country and Track & Field. Robinson, a resident of Bronx, New York, comes to Westchester CC with five years of coaching experience at the High School and College levels, after an outstanding career as an NCAA Division I Track & Field student-athlete. Most recently, Robinson served as the Head Cross Country Coach at nearby Pace University during the 2017 and 2018 seasons, while also working as the Head Track & Field Coach at Briarcliff High School during the 2018 season. At Pace, Robinson led the men's team to a performance at the Northeast-10 Championships in 2018 that tied the program best in its history, and also turned in a program-best performance at the Division II East Region Championships later that year. He also coached the top-four fastest performing men in the 8000 meter run in school history, all freshmen runners, and nine of the top-10 men in school history between the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Additionally, he coached two of the top-five fastest performing women in the 5000-meter run in school history. At Briarcliff High School Robinson led the Bears to an outstanding season during which a multitude of school records were broken, and 16 athletes earned All-League honors. A 2014 Lafayette College graduate, Robinson earned a Masters Degree in Sports Management/Sports Administration from Liberty University in 2018.
