Gaffney Named to D3football.com Preseason All-America Team

Montclair, NJ – Senior guard STEPHEN GAFFNEY was named to the D3football.com Preseason All-America Team announced on Tuesday. Gaffney was selected to the Third Team. Gaffney was named to the organization's East All-Region Third Team in 2018 and also collected Second-Team honors from the NJAC as Montclair State posted an 8-2 mark, its first eight-win campaign since 2014. The 6-2 Gaffney anchored the offensive line that ranked in the upper half of the NJAC in scoring offense, total offense, rushing offense and passing offense. The Red Hawks averaged 22.7 points per game this season and 305.3 yards per game while allowing the fewest sacks in the league (14). Gaffney has started the last 20 games for MSU and also excelled in the classroom as he was chosen to the NJAC Academic Team in addition to being named to the CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District Team.
